From her global experiences of growing up in Papua New Guinea, Kenya, Switzerland, Australia, and the United States, she knows firsthand the cultural dislocation migrant children experience and the challenges of language immersion.

Rosslyn Academy—Nairobi Kenya
- Engaged in field work of living among tribal people as the first European guest in their village
- Received top student award for anthropological studies while living among tribal people of Kenya
- Developed tools for ethnographies during her cultural anthropology studies that led her to create bridges for children in transition between cultures or settings
University of Queensland—Queensland, Australia
- Earned a bachelor degree with top marks in a double major in cultural anthropology
- Received the highest marks of excellence among her peers within the departments of cultural anthropology, linguistics and child psychology.
Queensland University of Technology and the University of Notre Dame-Fremantle, Western Australia
- Received post-graduate instruction in childhood educational methodologies
- Earned top marks at both institutions
